Discussed the need to make Local/Hibernian rules more
visible to the members at Tournaments as well as on the website.
Included
in the yearly letter to the members we need to address/review those members who
are not attending tournaments. Suggested that if you are going to miss 4 or
more tournaments the members need to reconsider their commitment to the
Hibernian Golf Club. We have others on the waiting list that potentially could
be bringing additional revenue to the club. Those members not able to attend on
a regular basis should consider stepping aside and joining us on a guest basis.

Problem @ Swan-E-Set:
Wayne Z. spoke with Paul
Nijjer last year and booked Aug.11/02. Earlier this year Daryl contacted them
and advised verbally we would have 36 golfers. Since the number of members
attending did not change, we did not contact them believing that the date was
confirmed. Some courses do not require a deposit (ie. Osoyoos road trip) so
additionally the "trigger mechanism" to confirm in advance was also a factor.
Daryl will be in touch with the Swan-E-Set representatives this week and
will report back at the next meeting advising Swan-E-Set's position and what
they will be willing to do for us in the future.
Expecting 33 members for
the N. Bellingham tourney
tourney is confirmed for Aug.24th @ 12:00 (no
deposit required).

Old Business:
No par pts at Swan-E-Set therefore par pts and green
ball tourney to be played at N.Bellingham.
Reminder for trophies to be
returned to Rob Johnson and prizes for the wind-up to be given to Wayne Zaiser.
New Business:
To be discussed at the wind-up:
Is it possible to
have a 3 day tourney on the road trip including match play on the Friday and
the Saturday?
Do we need to have 15 tournament dates in order to ensure
match play completion?
Next meeting: Sept.3/02 @ Sidetrack Pub
